The Mare de la Font Park Restaurant is located on the outskirts of Solsona and can be accessed via a pleasant walk along the creek, amid large banana trees, pebbled paths, and dry-stone walls.

The building was originally a small shack where the local people came to enjoy fontades, traditional celebrations of the natural spring waters in the middle of nature. Through the years, different expansions of the building led to a jumble of disconnected spaces, eventually placing the kitchen and other areas beneath a natural grotto.

The renovation of the Mare de la Font Restaurant emerged from the need to reorganise the setting without interfering with its outdoor areas, to refurbish the interior spaces, to solve the generalised problems of water infiltration, and to open up the upper floor, which until then had been inaccessible.

The intervention acknowledges the origin of the property, separating the building from the grotto by means of an inner courtyard and generating a pleasant outdoor area that brings together all the essence of the park: light, water, caves, stone, trees and greenery.
