The Sant Salvador Road is the only vehicle access to the historic centre of Súria. It runs alongside the Galàpets stream, which was covered over in the 1970s, lying in a narrow ravine between the historic centre and the Bonavista district. The topography, the stream and the road, as well as different unplanned or outlying corners of the town, have become an unwelcoming passageway for pedestrians.

The plan acknowledges the characteristic landscape of the area, which comprises the constant presence of stone strata, a natural feature that can be seen on all access roads to Súria. The proposal generates three platforms that are structured as a succession of solid and soft geological strata (pavement - natural plant-covered hillside) that interact with the surrounding natural environment. Pedestrians are moved away from road traffic, and at the same time, there are new connections for pedestrians with the historic town centre, inspired by the existing connections in the town: spacious, long, gently sloping ramps and narrow, steep stairways. The project aims to create a landscape that blends into its surroundings, with an abundance of open views from the higher points.
